Large American Coin Silver Ewer, mid-19th century, unmarked, with beaded rims and waist band, acanthus loop handle, on domed trumpet foot, engraved with rocaille and flowering scrolls, with two rocaille cartouches, one engraved "Tribute of Respect to William Browning," the other "From his partner, Henry B. Dunham, Jan. 2 1854," ht. 17 1/2 in., approx. 40 troy oz. unmarked. body showing hammering marks and/or light denting throughout body.
