Sterling Presentation Pitcher, c. 1864, ewer form, with short spout, guilloche rim, and guilloche and beaded waist bands, loop handle topped by a lion's head, engraved with inscription to Engineer and Superintendent of Eagleton Coal Company, and dated 1856, ht. 11 1/4 in., approx. 25 troy oz. compression at neck showing as diagonal crease (approx. 1 1/2") to center of neck to right side of handle, and with related bend to rim at raised point of side , with crease just below rim (approx. 1 1/2"). Two pinpoints to right side. minor wear to engraving. minor overall age wear and light surface scratching.
