Nine Silver and Silver Plate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, six sterling: five American (three small rectangular, one with scroll borders, and one with S-scrolls and grotesque mask at top), and an English engraved with a moth; and three silver plate: an Indian elephant head, a horseshoe and jockey cap, and a rectangular mounted with gilt dog head with glass eye, lg. 1 1/8 to 3 in., approx. 3 troy oz. weighable silver. All with some minor usage surface wear. One rectangular with scrolled sides with some vertical denting and pinpoints. Elephant head with wear to plating.
