Seven Silver and Silver Plate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, four sterling: one English, enameled in turquoise and red with lion rampant, a P. &.P. with rococo scrolls, and two unmarked, one with Art Nouveau flowers, and the other with deer in a mountain landscape; and three plate; one formed as a folded shirt, one Chinese with dragon, the third applied to front with horse head, gauntlets and swords on blue enameled ground, lg. 1 7/8 to 2 3/4 in., approx. 2 troy oz. weighable silver. All with minor age/surface wear. Plated shirt example with wear to plating at edges and raised decoration. Blue enameled plated example with wear to plating, especially to raised motifs on lid.
