Auguste Moreau (French, 1834-1917) Bronze Figure of Alerte , the standing figure of Cupid modeled with a bow on his back, love-shield on his arm, and a quiver by his feet, mounted atop a raised double base, artist signed and with title plaque, chocolate brown patina, ht. 22 in. Surface very dry. some loss to patina under left armpit and to both calves. base with two empty screw holes (perhaps for a base, now lacking). light wear overall.
