Italian Neoclassical Chinoiserie Decorated Open Armchair, early 19th century, backrest carved with lunettes, sloped arms and supports, on square, tapered and splayed legs; decorated with chinoiserie motifs on a black ground, seat ht. 18 in. Rubbing and loss to painted decoration, hardest to arms; both back legs with L-shaped metal reinforcement brackets; age typical minor additional defects; joints a little loose.
