Chinese Export Gilt Lacquer Tea Caddy, early 19th century, hexagonal form with hinged lid decorated on the exterior with scenes of court officials near garden pavilions, the interior containing a conforming lead container with punchwork scroll and floral designs, (gilt wear), ht. 5 5/8, dia. 8 in. a lot of the detail in the gilding has worn off especially on the cover , it is also somewhat warped , it is raised about 1/8 in. on the left side.
