John Henry Dolph (American, 1835-1903) The Master's Chair Signed "JDolph" l. l., titled on the frame, a partial period label affixed to the reverse. Oil on panel, 20 1/2 x 15 3/4 in. (52.1 x 40.0 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, varnish inconsistencies, scattered light abrasions/losses, surface grime. The retouch is scattered dots and dashes, most prevalent to the red drapery. The abrasions and surface losses are minor. The work would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
