Henry Ward Ranger (American, 1858-1916) Forest Landscape Inscribed and signed "... H.W.B....H W Ranger" l.l., identified on labels, including one from Kennedy Galleries, New York, affixed to the reverse. Oil on board, 12 x 16 in. (30.5 x 40.6 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch and varnish inconsistencies (including area around signature), board slightly warped. There is retouch along both the left and right sides, plus around the signature. The latter area also has a thick varnish. The curve to the support is unobtrusive. The label from the Kennedy Galleries is incomplete.
