French, late19th century. A French Provincial stained walnut armoire comprising a cavetto molded frieze with central carved patera over the two-door facade, each door with three rows of molded panels comprising a top cyma curved panel over two rectangular panels, with diamond form keyhole escutcheons, all divided by a central fluted pilaster with central decorative square with tiny diamond patterns, opening to interior with central dividing shelf, the molded scalloped skirt decorated with central carved patera, armoire sides decorated with three panels and scalloped skirt, all raised on small cabriole front feet and squared back feet. Approximate height 78.5", width 60", depth 26".
