Massachusetts or New Hampshire Queen Anne maple highboy, ca. 1770 , the upper section with two short and three long drawers resting on a base with one long and three short drawers, the center with fan carving, supported by cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, 66 1/2" h., 38 1/4" w. An early chalk inscription on the lower case reads Do_k . Records indicate that a William Doak was working as a cabinetmaker in Boston towards the end of the 18th century.
