Pair of George III Silver Open Salts, London, 1793, Henry Chawner, maker, boat shaped, goldwashed interior, with reeded rims, on oval trumpet foot and rectangular base, monogrammed, ht. 2 3/4 in., approx. 6 troy oz. bright cut monograms to ends. sides with possible later monograms, in same style as monograms to ends. marks good. one with nick to footrim. the other with one short side of footrim pushed in, with resultant metal tear along seam. minor age wear.
