Pair of George III Silver Open Salts, London, 1767, makers likely David and Robert Hennell, ovoid, with ogee reeded rim, cast and reticulated with flower swags, on trifid feet, with cobalt glass liners, approx. 8 troy oz. total. marks very rubbed on one, and rubbed, yet fairly discernable on the other. glass liners with chipping to rims. one with repaired join of leg to body. possibly mono removal from the small roundels to one side of body. Minor age wear. One liner appears original.
