Northwest Coast Carved Horn Ladle, c. second half 19th century, carved in two pieces, the sheep horn scoop with carved underside in the form of a stylized animal with exposed vertebrae and flanked by faces, the dark horn finial depicting a human prisoner with minute inlaid abalone eyes perched on the head of a seated bear with abalone eyes, lg. 14 in.
