José Arpa y Perea (Spanish, c. 1860-1952) In the Studio Signed and inscribed "J. Arpa, Sevilla" u.r. Oil on panel, 7 1/2 x 12 in. (19.1 x 30.5 cm), framed. Condition: Panel slightly warped, scattered craquelure with mild alligatoring, mild surface grime. The curve to the panel is very subtle. The craquelure is stable, and the alligatoring is very minor. It occurs mostly in the reds. The work might benefit from a gentle cleaning.
