Frederick Ballard Williams (American, 1871-1956) The Crest of the Hill Signed "F. Ballard Williams." l.r., titled in an inscription on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 16 1/4 x 24 in. (41.2 x 60.9 cm), framed (in a liner). Condition: Surface grime, craquelure. A few scattered small areas of retouch and/or pigment flouresence. Extremely mild craquelure is stable and unobtrusive. The work might benefit from a gentle cleaning.
