Jose Lopez-Rey (American, b. 1905) Bull Fight / A Surrealist Composition Signed "Lopez-Rey" l.r., inscribed "Finale..." on a partial label affixed to the reverse. Oil on Masonite, 13 3/8 x 18 1/8 in. (34.0 x 46.0 cm), unframed. Condition: Scattered retouch, surface abrasion to u.r. and l.r. quadrants. Razor knife abrasion to surface along height of the work in u.r. and l.r. quadrants, approx. 1/4 in. from right edge, retouch mostly to the perimeters with some retouch in the white area under bull''s head.
