Attributed to Cornelisz Mahu (Flemish, 1613-1689) Tavern Interior with Backgammon Players Indistinctly signed or inscribed l. l. Oil on canvas, 20 x 17 in. (50.8 x 43.2 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouched, surface grime, craquelure. The work is strip lined with two patch reinforcements u.c. (one approximately 3 x 2 in. and 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 in. ). The work has varnish inconsistencies and areas of retouch (ranging from small to medium/large in size) throughout. Craquelure stable throughout. The work would benefit from a cleaning.
