Marquetry Decorated Work Box, England or America, late 19th century, the hinged lid and sides decorated with nautical scenes with sailing and steam vessels, the interior fitted with lift-out compartmented tray, some compartments with marquetry lids depicting various flags, (surface cracks), ht. 5 3/8, wd. 13, dp. 9 1/4 in. the lid and sides with cracks to the parquetry and some dark discoloration.
