Woven Wool and Cotton Philadelphia Centennial Biederwand Coverlet, America, c. 1876, one-piece coverlet woven with red, brown, and two shades of green wool and white cotton yarns, centered with Philadelphia's Memorial Hall, bordered by stylized fruit and flowers, fringed on three sides, 81 x 78 in. Note: Memorial Hall was one of the chief buildings of the Centennial Exposition of 1876 and was dedicated by President Grant, memorializing the soldiers of the Revolution. Very good condition with minor wear to the fringe.
