Orsamus R. Fyler Mahogany Triple Decker Shelf Clock, Connecticut, circa 1835, with printed maker's label inside stating "Fyler's Patent 8 Day Clocks Made and Sold by Orsamus R. Fyler," three tiers of carved columns, carved splat and pineapple finials, paw feet, looking glass in the center and painted tablet below, eight-day wooden movement with cast iron weights and pendulum, (imperfections), ht. 39 3/4 in. Fyler's eight-day wooden movement clocks are discussed in the NAWCC Bulletin, December 1965, pp. 40-43. Lower glass is an old repaint, dial and looking glass are undisturbed, original hands, weights and pendulum.
