Needlework Picture, by Susan Bartlett, 1811, silk and chenille threads and paint and ink on a silk ground, depicting a young woman standing beside an ornately draped table set with a globe and writing utensils, in one hand she holds a letter and a portrait miniature of a young man, sight size 19 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. , in a gilt and black-painted eglomise mat with gilt inscriptions "SUSAN BARTLETT 1811," (minor imperfections), in likely original molded giltwood frame. some toning and fading, scattered broken threads, thread loss l.l. edge on tablecloth.
