Pair of Maple Carved Side Chairs, Rhode Island, 1730-50, crisply articulated crest rails continue to reverse curved stiles with beaded edges that flank the similarly spooned splats over the overupholstered leather seats, boldly turned stretchers, with Spanish carved feet, old refinish, 20th century leather upholstery, ht. 40, seat ht. 17 3/4 in. Provenance: Descended in thefamily of Governor Bull.
