Pictorial Canvaswork Firescreen Panel, North Shore, Massachusetts, late 18th century, worked in wool yarns on a linen ground, depicting an oak tree at center with a grapevine entwined around the trunk and a branch, with a parrot and squirrels in the branches, a stag chased by two dogs run in the foreground and birds and butterflies fly above, (scattered losses), 13 1/4 x 11 1/4 in. numerous areas of thread losses most of them around the perimeter.
