Continental, likely French, 19th century. Pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze and crystal twin light wall sconces or appliques, each with a backplate cast as bow tied draping tassels mounted with a crystal turned shaft heading with shaped spire finial and issuing three tiers of scrolled branches hung with crystal flowerheads and faceted pear shaped prisms, the bottom tier also having two scrolled candlearms with petal shaped bobeches. Neither sconce electrified. Both backplates impressed at the front top '45R'. Approximate height of backplate 15.25", height overall 17.6", width 10.5" (bobeche to bobeche).
