French, 19th century. A fine pair of Louis XV style carved stained walnut fauteuil aux Oreilles, each having a tall arched back, scrolled wings and partially padded outset arms on foliate and scroll carved terminals above a serpentine shaped seat with overstuffed loose cushion raised on acanthus and shell carved cabriole legs joined by acanthus carved serpentine seat rail and terminating on foliate carved scrolled toes. Chairs covered in a cream and blue linen floral fabric. Approximate height 42.75", width 29.6" (arm to arm), seat depth 22", seat height 20". Provenance: Acquired from Jacqueline Adams in Atlanta, Georgia by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
