Pieced and Appliqued Cotton Urn of Flowers Pattern Quilt, America, late 19th century, the quilt composed of four large squares with an urn issuing several flower stalks bordered by carnation blossoms and leaves in solid red and green cotton fabric, some motifs embroidered with blanket stitching, the quilt edged and backed with white cotton and quilted in outline and chevron stitches, (minor toning and stains), 82 x 79 in. some light moisture stains showing mainly on the reverse.
