Two Stoneware Crocks, America, early to late 19th century, a late 19th century five-gallon crock decorated with a stylized cobalt blue flower blossom made by Somerset Pottery Works, Somerset, Massachusetts, an unmarked early 19th century ovoid jar with cobalt blue brushed handle terminals, (minor imperfections), ht. 13 3/8, 12 1/2 in. 5 gal.-Should read Somerset, Massachusetts, not New Jersey; 3 in. hairline above rt. facing handle, numerous flakes of glaze loss on lower rear of crock; jar- good except for a 3/4 in. chip on one side probably from a potstone.
