Nathaniel Currier, publisher (American, 1813-1888) The High Bridge at Harlem N. Y., 1849 (Conningham, 2810). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix, small folio lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sheet size 13 1/2 x 17 1/2 in., in a contemporary molded maple frame. Condition: Margins of 2 1/8 in. or more, tear slightly into image c.l. creases, foxing. Note this lithograph ranks no. seven in the "Old Best 50" small folio. hinged at the top with paper tape, unobtusive tear goes about 1/4 in. into image at c.r. , taped with a paper tape, scattered creases show mainly on left and right borders, but there are some in the sky and water areas, sparsely scattered spots of foxing about nine shaow in the sky area.
