Painted Cast Iron Teddy and The Bear Mechanical Bank, manufactured by J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, Connecticut, c. 1907, the bank activated by sliding a piece on the rifle back into position and pushing the bear down into the tree, then placing a coin in front of the sliding piece and pressing the base lever, Teddy lowers his head and shoots the coin into the stump and the bear pops up, (paint wear), ht. 9 1/4 in. (open). mechanics work, much of the paint is worn off of the tree.
