Paul Cezanne (French, 1839-1906), "Self Portrait at Easel (Cezanne au beret un chavelet)", grey ink lithograph on Arches MBM laid paper, second edition in grey ink--said to been from an edition of approximately 200, unsigned. Originally commissioned by Ambroise Vollard in 1896, this image depicts a self-portrait of the artist at bust length in front of his easel. This work is one of only four compositions that Cezanne created for the medium of lithography. Framed approximately 32" x 25.75". Sight size of sheet floating within frame approximately 24.8" x 18.6". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
