Polychrome Enamel Decorated Porcelain Plaque, England, early 19th century, oval shape with two dogs in a landscape, one a pug, a marker to the right signed "Powell 1807", lg. 11 in. Note: John Powell appears to have been an independent china painter, setting up shop at 91 Wigmore Street. His name and address appear on Coalport, Swansea, and some French porcelains used as blanks. Provenance: D.M. & P. Manheim.
