Oil on artist board, c. 1840, 13 1/2 x 9 3/4 in., mounted in contemporary gilt gesso frames. Condition: Minor retouch. both yellowed from old varnish; gentleman- spots of retouch on his left facing brow and lower rt. facing jacket; lady- patch of retouch lower rt. corner, small area l.l. corner, there is also a crease in the artist board at c.r.
