Three-piece Coin Silver Tea Service, Peter Chitry, New York, early 19th century, comprising a teapot, covered sugar bowl and creamer, oval lobed bodies with fruit-form finials, shaped serpent spout, an anthemion leaf and grapevine borders on stepped oval bases, marked "P. Chitry" on bases, (minor dents), ht. 7 1/4-9 1/2 in.; together with a later plated, similarly formed unmarked teapot and a plated rectangular tray with engraved scrolled floral and foliate design marked "Wm. Rogers 4090," (wear), teapot ht. 9 3/4, tray 14 x 22 1/2 in. approx. 55 troy oz. weighable silver; handles are hollow, the bases all have several small dents around them, wear to the plated pieces, the tray has surface wear.
