Federal Mahogany Carved and Mahogany Veneer Glazed Desk-Bookcase, Massachusetts, c. 1810, the interior with divided fixed shelves and inlaid prospect door flanked by two drawers and valanced compartments, old replaced brasses, old refinish, (minor imperfections), ht. 91 3/4, wd. 40 3/4, dp. 22 1/2 in. Three glass panels cracked; interior back lines with brown felt; one bracket foot cracked; wood screws added to cresting; patch on back of cresting to repair break; gilt-carved eagle may be a replacement but is very fine; drawer bottoms patched well.
