Federal Cherry Tall Clock, Benjamin Willard, Grafton, Massachusetts, c. 1800, the 12 in. painted iron dial with rooster in the arch and brass plate mounted above numeral six engraved B. Willard, Grafton and No. 310 in paint, eight day time and strike movement with red-painted tin-cased weights, period wooden pendulum rod and brass-faced bob, (imperfections), ht. 86 1/2 in. pads and additional blocking added to feet, lower portion of backboard possibly shortened, probably had central plinth, finial and fret on top of hood, lacking two door locks, period wooden finials now bronze painted
