French, early 20th century. French Louis XVI style paint, gesso and parcel gilt decorated trumeau mirror with projecting cornice over a central tablet headed with ribbon tied bow issuing two draping floral garland swags over a rectangular mirror plate within a conforming gilt and painted wood frame with ornamental bead & reel inner molding, the side panels headed with trailing berried laurel leaves and ribbon, the whole on sage painted ground. Approximate height 58.87", width 50.37", depth .62". Provenance: Purchased from Withers and Lanham Designs, INC located at 375 Pharr Road, N.E. Suite 205, Atlanta, GA 30305 on June 2, 1987.
