Nan (Mrs. Forbes) Watson (Scottish/American, 1876-1966) Beatrice , alternatively titled Beatrice Reading Signed "Nan Watson" l.l., artist and title inscribed in two places on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 24 x 20 1/4 in. (61.0 x 51.4 cm), in a period frame. Condition: Craquelure, unobtrusive surface grime. Exhibitions: Possibly exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, 1933, no. 312.
