Pair of Russian Silver Double Salts, St. Petersburg, 1857, with stylized shell-form cellars centered by openwork rocaille stem, set with two shields engraved with crowned monogram to one side, and Imperial double-eagle crest to other, on oblong base with scrolled toes, ht. 4, wd. 6 1/4 in., approx. 20 troy oz. Note: Possibly engraved with the monogram of Empress Maria Alexandrovna.
