Federal Mahogany Carved and Inlaid Side Chair, probably Boston, c. 1800, the shield back with arched crest centering a carved basket of fruit and trailing vines of acorns and leafage, above three leaf-carved and patera-inlaid spindles joining at an inlaid quarter-fan, on shaped molded stiles and overupholstered seat with serpentine front on square tapering molded frontal legs joined to the raking chamfered rear legs by square stretchers, refinished, (restored), ht. 36 1/2, seat ht. 16 in.
