Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tambour Desk, Massachusetts or New Hampshire, c. 1800, the top section with two half drawers outlined in chevron banding above central door centering an inlaid eagle within a mitered tiger maple panel and geometric inlaid surround, flanked by tambour doors each opening to two drawers and three valanced compartments, and rosewood panels, on projecting base with fold-out writing surface, four cockbeaded graduated drawers with tiger maple panels and borders of geometric stringing and mahogany crossbanding, all on inlaid base with flaring French feet, old brasses, refinished, (restored), ht. 48 1/2, wd. 39 1/2, dp. 18 1/2 in.
