Queen Anne Tiger Maple High Chest of Drawers, Salem, Massachusetts, late 18th century, the flat molded cornice above a case of five thumbmolded graduated drawers, set into lower case of long drawer and three short drawers, on cabriole legs ending in pad feet on platforms, joined by scrolled skirt, brasses appear to be original, refinished with deep golden patina, (very minor imperfections), ht. 72 1/2, wd. 37 1/2, dp. 18 3/4 in. Provenance: Old label inside bottom drawer of upper case reads "Maple Highboy or Chest is the property of Kathleen Leonard." Purchased by the consignor from Roland Hammond, a North Andover antiques dealer.
