Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Clock, David Wood, Newburyport, Massachusetts, c. 1815, the hood with pierced fret, reeded finial plinths and finials above an arched and glazed hood door flanked by reeded columns and enclosing a painted iron dial with Roman numerals, raised gilded gesso in the spandrels, stylized sunburst in the arch and signed David Wood, Newburyport , the rectangular waist door with molded edge and line inlay is flanked by reeded columns all on a line inlaid base with French feet and scalloped apron housing an eight-day brass time and strike movement, (imperfections), ht. 82 in.
