Needlework Memorial, Susan Brooks, late 18th/early 19th century, executed in silk threads on a linen ground, centered with a stylized monument with stitched lettering "in Memory of Joseph my Brother who died august the 17 1790 aged 9 months and 22 days," over a verse "death may the bands of life unloose/ but cant dissolve my Love/millions of infant souls compose/the Family a bove," within a masonry arch with pine tree accents, (toning, minor stains and stitch losses), 14 x 11 1/2 in. , unframed.
