Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Clock, Nichols Goddard, Rutland, Vermont, c. 1815, the hood with broken arch pediment, inlaid rosettes, reeded plinths, oval inlay below the central plinth, half round molded edge framing the rectangular waist door with line and oval inlay, the base with dual oval line inlays on a molded base housing a 13 in. painted iron dial with Roman numerals, oval and raised gilt decoration, moon's age dial in the arch and signed Nichols Goddard, Rutland No. 125 with an eight-day brass weight-driven time-and-strike movement, (losses and restoration), ht. 93 1/2 in.
