Pine and Maple Cased Transitional Shelf Clock, William Sherwin, Buckland, Massachusetts, c. 1830, a double scroll crest and turned finials cap the full length door with glazed dial opening and lower eglomise panel depicting a white house on a pond framed by blue and white draperies, boldly turned half columns, decoration below the door and four feet housing a painted wooden Arabic numeral dial with raised gilt spandrels, gilt eagle with outstretched wings and thirty-hour wood, time and strike, weight powered movement and original printed paper label inside the case, (in-painting on lower glass), ht. 30 1/2 in.
