Needlework Sampler, worked by Harriet Amelia Wheeley, late 18th/early 19th century, the sampler work in silk threads on a wool ground, with several rows of alphabets above pious verses, lower border stitched with trees, flowering plants, crowns, eight-point stars, a heart, and the maker's name, enclosed in an undulating trefoil border, (scattered small background losses, fading, toning), 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 in.
