Newcomb Pottery Decorated vase Possibly decorated by Anna Frances Simpson, New Orleans, Louisiana, c. 1902-08 Short neck on bulbous shoulder and base, with white flowers on shoulder with a matte blue body, incised marks JM (for Joseph Meyer), NC cipher, artist initialed possibly AFS, 205, KN71, crazing, glazed loss, base hairlines, ht. 5 1/2 in. Provenance: This was in the summer home of a family that lived in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada. This vase has survived through many of the cold winters in Canada.
