German, 19th century. A large cup form 800 sterling silver trophy, attributed to Norden, German pre-1886, with berried laurel leaf bands around the body of the cup and around the pedestal foot. Engraving on the front of cup, likely done in France in first quarter of 20th century, reads "Coupe Lambert, 1929" with years and names of winners listed below, from 1929-1939 and 1947. Hallmarks below the race title: indistinguishable mark, a Lion Rampant mark, likely city mark for Norden, Germany, 800 silver mark, and indistinguishable mark. 17" x 12.5" x 6.75".
