Pieced Cotton Patchwork Star of Bethlehem Quilt, Stauffer family, Manheim, Pennsylvania, c. 1895, large central eight-point star constructed of diamond-shaped segments of solid blue, yellow, red, and white cotton fabric, with smaller eight-point stars in the coner blocks alternating with half stars along the dark blue border; red binding, pink, green, and brown printed paisley cotton backing; the quilting done with outline, leafy scroll, and heart shaped stitches, (very good condition), 88 x 88 in.
